Why we’re hiring for this role:
We view paid acquisition as a way to drive early wins in marketing programs for our recently-onboarded clients and ongoing growth with legacy clients. We also view paid acquisition as a service where we can test new campaigns and strategies with quicker results. We see this service as having a big potential for client upsells & growth as we are able to ramp up media spend across both established & emerging channels. We are looking for a full-time employee who will be able to own this department, driving success across client happiness, goal achievement & client upsells.

What you’ll be responsible for:

This role is heavy in 3 core areas & we expect you to excel in each of these from Day 1:

  • Paid Acquisition Strategy, Execution & Optimization: You should be an expert at paid search (Google/Bing) and paid social (FB/IG, Twitter), but ready to level up and become a true multi-channel paid marketer, by testing and learning on some unfamiliar and emerging channels (streaming TV, music, reddit, nextdoor, etc). You will be accountable for all stages of paid marketing including strategy, execution, optimization, reporting, and upsell for multiple clients across multiple channels.
  • Client Communication, Presentations & Upsells: This position is structured like a sales role where you will be given a base salary and commission structure based upon how much media spend you are managing. As you find opportunities to grow our clients’ paid acquisition campaigns, your salary will grow as well. You will be responsible for uncovering opportunities for growth, presenting them to our clients, and pitching the upsell.
  • Data, Analytics & Experimentation: Since this role is heavily focused on growth, it is important that you are very comfortable diving into Google Analytics & the data within the individual platforms to translate that performance into actionable insights & growth opportunities. We foster an environment of experimentation through new strategies & A/B or multivariate tests. You should feel comfortable running these experiments and reporting on the results.

Early on, you’ll focus on:

  • Reviewing our processes & templates and documenting gaps
  • Understanding each of our clients & their goals
  • Auditing current performance & optimizing the accounts accordingly
  • Identifying growth opportunities & pitching the upsell for those

Once you’re settled in (~2-3 months), we’d love to see your impact by:

  • Meeting team goals for retention & account growth
  • Recognizing churn risks and mitigation techniques
  • Updating & creating processes & templates to better serve our clients
  • Help to grow the department in the coming months/years resulting in switching focus from daily execution to team management & strategy

Preferred experience:

  • 3-4+ years of paid marketing campaign management experience, including both strategy & execution on Google Ads, Bing, Facebook/Instagram & LinkedIn (Twitter & additional networks a plus)
  • Experience in a growth marketing role managing paid campaigns for a fast-growing SaaS / product-led company
  • Google Ads certification
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong written communication skills for writing ad copy
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large ad spend across multiple clients
  • Capacity to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced team environment
  • Deeply analytical and extremely proficient in Google Analytics, Google Sheets/Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.)
  • Impeccably high standards and work ethic

  • Ability to work independently, in support of the company’s and team’s North Star Metrics.
